What information do I need to set up a WestClip entry?

There are three types of information that must be supplied for each WestClip entry to successfully monitor a database via westlaw.com.

• Database identifier (found in the Westlaw Directory or via the IDEN database)
• Terms and Connector query (Natural Language descriptions cannot be run)
• E-mail address

How often can I set an entry to run?

For most databases on Westlaw, you can set a frequency of Daily (to run 7 days a week), Weekdays (to run daily, Monday through Friday), Weekly (to run once a week), Biweekly (to run twice a month) or Monthly (to run once a month).

In the Dow Jones Interactive^® newswire databases, the Continuous option is also available. The Continuous frequency runs your WestClip entry every 15 minutes, checking for the latest information. There is a daily charge to use this frequency. This frequency is not available to all subscribers.

You can also set the frequency to Save or Upon Request (in Westmate) if you want to create an entry but not have it run automatically.
